Children are the future of India. They are the best change agents whether in the family or in their community. So, it is very important learn them to help other children. We inculcate feelings of empathy and conscience so that they grow up as responsible individuals.
We came up with idea – Child Helps Child (HC2). We Sensitize of privileged children and their parents about the deprivation and pain endured by the underprivileged kids, existing inequalities around them. Once they realise the worth of their privileges, they automatically turn their thoughts towards positivity and develop the right outlook. This eventually helps them develop into not only successful but also socially responsible.
UrsDay visits various rich schools and conducts specially designed sessions to sensitize privileged children to help poor kids.
UrsDay currently reaches out to nearly 60,000 privileged children in 120 schools spread across 74 districts of India, every year. In addition, their parents and teachers are also involved in the process.
Through hC2 program, Privileged children do followings-
- teach computer or gadget lessons
- play some games together & teach them new things
- share & donate food or schools accessories to poor kids
- teach some study subjects
- perform cultural functions together
- spent time with poor students in thier schools, playgrounds, hostels or recidents
- clean together specific area of city
