UrsDay Mission Education is a national level programme, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. UrsDay believes that education is a vaccine for a poverty. Good quality education develops better citizens & resources for the country. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered. Education is an important tool that enables women and girls to participate in decisions that affect their lives and in improving their social status.

Support for RTE: Following the enactment of the Right to Education Act by the Government, UrsDay  has been actively engaged in several forums and consortiums along with other international agencies and the larger civil society to support the implementation of the Act in its true spirit.

UrsDay initiatives include Non Formal Education [6-14 yrs non-school going], Remedial Education [6-14 yrs school going] and Bridge Course [14-18 yrs drop-outs]. It works for education for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children inflicted and affected with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children.

UrsDay is committed towards enabling effective implementation of education provisions and policies for rights, entitlements and empowerment of poor underprivileged students.

Since its inception in 2005, more than 150,000 underprivileged children have directly benefitted from the Mission Education.

Enhance Education Standards (in Government Schools):

There are 4 major school boards in India like states board, CBSC, ICSE, Cambridge, International Boards. Apart from states boards, others boards provide very high quality education, extracurricular, effective personality development. Thus, somehow, states boards students are lagging behind compare to other boards students. In fact, middle class families also try to pay so much school fees  to join these boards schools. There are very few admissions in states boards syllabus.  But, those who take admission are very poor families, who cannot afford other schools except Govt schools. This is injustice. Across the globe especially in USA, UK & Europe, there is one equal education standard across the one country. So, under this Program, we designed new extra curriculum for states boards or government schools which fulfill the major gaps between those school  boards & bring uniformity in education system.

This curriculum is freely shared & trained to government poor school teachers. We provide even expert teachers also and eventually we implement this curriculum in government school. Once teachers & principals will be trained & they can upgrade their education standards & every years lacs of students will be benefited with these new innovative programs.

Benefits of this:

  1. overall education quality improved
  2. students interested to go schools
  3. teachers are taking more interest to teach
  4. Parents are very happy with new improved curriculum.
